NACHA, or National Automated Clearing House Association, sets forth and administers rules for efficient handling of electronic transactions. The National Automated Clearing House Association runs the ACH system.

NACHA is responsible for running the ACH system, or Automated Clearing House. Direct deposit is an example of an ACH payment.
