In 2011, millions of consumers shopped at small businesses on Small Business Saturday.(1) American Express, founding partner of Small Business Saturday, is preparing for the third annual initiative on November 24, 2012.

Customer Incentive: American Express Credit Offer

For the third year in a row, American Express is offering Cardmembers the opportunity to get a $25 statement credit when they enroll their eligible American Express ® card and then use it to spend $25 or more in a single in-store transaction at a qualifying small business location on Small Business Saturday. The number of enrollments is limited.

Small Business Saturday was created in 2010 in response to small business owners’ most pressing need: more customers. According to the Small Businesses Association, small businesses nationwide have accounted for 65% of net new jobs created over the past 17 years and represent 99.7% of all employer firms.
