Patriot Software, an award-winning accounting and payroll software provider, will co-host a webinar on SECURE Act 2.0 retirement tax credits and deadlines with partner Vestwell, a leading 401(k) recordkeeping provider for small businesses. The webinar, “Small Business, Big Benefits: Navigate Upcoming Retirement Plan Deadlines and New Tax Advantages,” will take place on July 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
SECURE Act 2.0, otherwise known as Securing a Strong Retirement Act of 2022, was signed into law in December of 2022. This legislation provides employers with 50 or fewer employees with a 100% tax credit—up to $5,000—to cover the administrative costs of establishing a retirement plan. There are additional tax credits available for employers who contribute to employee plans and employers who automatically enroll participants into their plan.
Patriot and Vestwell’s webinar for business owners and accountants will discuss these key tax benefits, how to choose the right plan, and deadlines to start a plan in 2023. The webinar is free to attend and provides accountants with 1.0 free CPE (continuing professional education) credit for live attendance.
