Green Card Definition
A special government-issued permit that will allow a foreign national to work and live within the United States permanently.
Obtaining a green card is often done through family, a job, or through a claim of refugee or asylum status. Also known as the United States Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551) it provides authorization for an individual to work in the U.S.
