Oregon’s minimum wage goes up to $8.95 per hour for 2013, up from the current $8.80, for nonexempt employees. Oregon is one of 10 states that tie inflation increases to the minimum wage, based on changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Oregon also has specific rules about meal breaks, rest periods, and the employment of minors. Employers are not permitted to use tips toward minimum wages that they owe an employee.
