How to Assign Manager Permissions in Patriot Software

If you have the HR or Time & Attendance (TIME) software add-ons, you can give managers permission to access employee and time card information for their direct reports.
HR software customers can give managers the ability to view one or more of the following:
- Employee list (direct and indirect reports, titles, hire dates, and length of service)
- Contact info (address, phone number, and email)
- Pay info (pay frequency, type, and rate)
- Emergency contact (name, relationship, and phone number)
Time & Attendance software customers can give managers the ability to do one or more of the following:
- View time cards
- Approve and reject time cards
- Edit time cards

How to set up a manager and assign manager permissions
To set up a manager and assign manager permissions for HR, TIME, or both, go to Settings >> Manager Settings >> Add New Manager. Here, you can add a manager, assign direct reports, and assign permissions.
If you have both Time & Attendance and HR software, you will have the option to select both Time & Attendance and HR permissions.
Check the box next to the information you want the manager to be able to view in their MyPatriot account. Click “Save.”
Managers will be sent an email invitation to sign up for MyPatriot. The email also notifies them that permissions are added.
How to assign or edit manager permissions for existing managers
To assign or edit manager permissions to a current manager, go to Settings >> Manager Settings >> Select Manager. Check/uncheck the box next to the information you want the manager to be able to view in their MyPatriot account. Click “Save.”
Managers will be sent an email notifying them that permissions are added.

Managers can view HR and Time & Attendance permissions by logging into MyPatriot. View employee time cards and employee information under “My Team” on the left navigation.
Managers will also see shortcuts to employee time cards and the employee list on the Home screen, under “My Team.”
