Accounting Software FAQs

Can I accept credit card payments through the software?

Yes. We integrate with CardConnect, a third party payment processor, to provide you and your customers with a seamless payment experience. You must sign up with Card Connect or be an existing merchant.

Is there a charge for accepting credit card payments?

Patriot Software does not charge for credit card processing in the accounting software, however CardConnect has a standard fee schedule.

Is there a limit to the number of customers you can add in software?

No. You can add (and invoice) an unlimited number of customers through the software.

I have customers who receive the same services every month. Can I set up automatic invoices for these customers?

Yes! With the Accounting Premium you can send recurring invoices to your customers on your desired schedule at no additional charge.

How much is it to add users to the accounting software?

With the Accounting Premium, you can set up multiple logins to give to your accountant or others as needed all for no additional cost!

How many bank transactions can I import?

There is no limit to the number of bank transactions you can import to from your bank account.

Is my bank supported for integrating bank transactions?

We use a third party to securely and seamlessly integrate your bank transactions, Plaid, Inc. Plaid supports most major banks and credit unions. However, you will need online banking access with your bank.

My accountant wants reports with accrual basis, but I like to use cash basis. Which should I use?

No problem. Patriot Software has a unique patent pending Quadruple-Entry accounting system that will display your financial reports in cash basis, modified cash basis or accrual basis with a simple click of a button. This means you can use the easy-to-understand cash basis for every day entries, but can give your accountant the needed information in accrual basis reporting.

What is Quadruple-Entry accounting?

The unique patent pending Quadruple-Entry accounting doesn’t “convert” the cash basis entries to modified cash or accrual basis accounting, it makes entries in each format and stores the data so it is ready for accurate reporting.

Will the accounting software integrate with my payroll?

Patriot’s Accounting Basic and Accounting Premium both integrate seamlessly with Patriot Basic Payroll and Patriot Full Service Payroll.

Can I pay my 1099 contractors with direct deposit?

This feature is coming in Q2 of 2019.
