How to Submit a Time Off Request

If your employer uses Patriot time and attendance software, you can request time-off in the mobile My Patriot App available on the Apple Apps Store and Google Play store. Time off requests are currently not supported in the web portal.
How to Submit a Paid Time Off Request
- Log in to the My Patriot Mobile app.
- Go to the Dashboard
- Scroll down to “Upcoming Time Off Requests”
- Click the “New Request” link.
- Choose to leave the “All Day” toggle on or turn it off to add a specific start and end time.
- Select your Start date (and start time if applicable)
- Select your End date (and end time, if applicable).
- Keep the “Use Paid Time” Toggle ON if you have time off hours available from your employer.
- Select the hour type you are using for your time off.
- You will not be able to request more hours that what is in your “balance”
- The hour type balance is displayed below the request for your reference
- Hours to Use – Add the total hours you are requesting in the time frame listed.
- Add an optional note (up to 250 characters)
- Click “Submit Request.”
- The request will appear as pending until your employer/admin processes the request.
- To receive a push notification when the request is processed, be sure to enable this notification in your settings. Learn more on our help article, “Enable Push Notifications in the Mobile App.”
- If the time off request is approved, you still need to record the paid time off hours under the correct hour type on your time card.
How to Submit an Unpaid Time Off Request
- Log in to the My Patriot Mobile app.
- Go to the Dashboard
- Scroll down to “Upcoming Time Off Requests”
- Click the “New Request” link.
- Choose to leave the “All Day” toggle on or turn it off to add a specific start and end time.
- Select your Start date (and start time if applicable)
- Select your End date (and end time, if applicable).
- Turn the “Use Paid Time” Toggle off to request time off or not to be scheduled.
- Hours to Use – Add the total hours you are requesting in the time frame listed.
- Add an optional note (up to 250 characters)
- Click “Submit Request.”
- The request will appear as pending until your employer/admin processes the request.

How to Cancel a Time Off Request
- Log in to the My Patriot Mobile app.
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Scroll down to “Upcoming Time Off Requests.”
- Click the “See All” link.
- Click the “Cancel Request” link on the request you want to cancel.
- Your employer/admin will be notified by email.
- Don’t forget to remove approved paid time off hours on your time card if you have already added them.
