How to Use Time Off Request Report in the Employee Portal

If your employer uses time off requests through Patriot’s Time and Attendance Software, you can view your time off requests and statuses.

Managers who manage time off requests for direct and indirect reports, will see team requests and status as well.


  1. Log into your employee web portal at www.mypatriot.com or www.approvepayroll.com.
  2. In the side navigation go to Reports > Time Off Request Report.
  3. Filter the report by:
    • Request Date Range – Shows requests where the time off dates fall within the date range you select.
    • Current Status – Approved, Pending, or Denied.
    • Hour Type Name – type of time off (for example: PTO, Sick, Vacation).
    • Employee Name
  4. Click Run Report.
  5. The report will display the following columns:
    • Employee Name
    • Start Date: first day of the requested time off
    • End Date: last day of the requested time off
    • Current Status: Approved, Pending, or Denied
    • Paid Hours / Unpaid Hours
    • Hours: total hours requested
    • Hour Type Name: PTO, Sick, Vacation, etc.
    • Decision Note: note added by the manager or payroll admin when approving or denying the request
    • Request Note: note added by the employee when submitting the request
    • Submitted Timestamp: when the employee submitted the request
    • Decision Timestamp: when the employer or manager approved or denied the request
