Manager Permissions: Manage Team Time Off Requests

Background
As a manager, you can approve or deny time off requests from the My Patriot Employee web portal for your direct or indirect reports if granted permission by your employer or payroll administrator.
đź’ˇ Managing team time off requests is not available in the mobile app at this time.Â
How to Approve or Deny Team Time Off Requests
- Log in to www.mypatriot.com.
- Navigate to My Team > Manage Time Off Requests.
- You’ll see the number of new or pending requests indicated on the tab.
- If there are no pending requests, you’ll see the message: “There are no pending requests.”
- Find the employee you want to review and click “View Details” under their name.
- A window will appear with the request details, including:
- Hour type (e.g., Sick, Jury, PTO)
- Request type: Paid or unpaid
- Total hours requested (for paid requests)
- Date(s) of the request
- Employee comments (if any)
- Show Status History – See when the request was submitted and any updates
- Show Balances – View the employee’s remaining hours for the requested type
- (Optional) Enter a note (up to 250 characters) in the Reviewer Notes box.
- This note will be visible to the employee but cannot be edited later.
- Click Approve Request or Deny Request to complete the action.
- To exit without taking action, click Cancel.
- The employee will be notified in their mobile app dashboard, and if notifications are enabled, they’ll also receive a push notification.
How to Bulk Manage Team Time Off Requests
- Log in to www.mypatriot.com
- Go to My Team > Manage Time Off Requests
- To take action on multiple requests:
- Check the boxes next to individual employee names.
or - Check the box at the top of the grid to select all.
- Check the boxes next to individual employee names.
- (Optional) Add a note that will be sent to all selected employees up to 250 characters.
- This note is not editable after submission.
- Click the “Approve Request(s”) or link or the “Deny Request(s)” link to complete the pending request.
- Click “Cancel” to go back to the previous screen.
- All selected employees will be notified in their mobile app dashboards, and those with notifications enabled will also receive push notifications.
