How to Opt Out of The Work Number®
Background:
The Work Number® is an automated income and employment verification service that provides proof of income and employment for employees to help them qualify for loans, credit, and public aid. Your company is automatically enrolled in this free service.

How Do I Opt Out from The Work Number®?
Payroll admins can remove The Work Number® from Equifax, automated income and employment verification service at any time.
Go to Settings > Payroll Settings > Payroll Integration Options > “The Work Number® from Equifax” tab.
Uncheck the box that reads “Allow The Work Number® from Equifax” and click “Save.”
This will remove your entire company from having verifications fulfilled on behalf of your employees.
Individual employees can visit theworknumber.com for information including how to freeze their data.
