How to Grant or Remove Employee Access to the HR Center

Background

With the HR Software you can grant employees limited access to the HR Center so they can complete training assigned through the Learning Management System (LMS) module, or you can have your employees digitally sign acknowledgment of receipt (available only with premium handbook).

How to Give HR Center Access to Employees

  1. Make sure all of your employees have been invited to the employee portal. See our help article, “How to Invite an Employee to Register for the Employee Portal” for more information.
  2. Go to Settings > Human Resources  > Employee Access to Mineral.
  3. All employees who have been invited to set up their portal will be displayed.
  4. Click the box beside each employee who you’d like to grant access to the HR Center.
  5. Click the “Update HR Center Access” link at the top of the employee grid.
  6. Select “Yes” in the modal that displays.
  7. Save by clicking the “Update Employees” button.
  8. Your employee(s) will be able to log in directly from their employee portal with a Single Sign-On (SSO) link to access their assigned tasks. Check out the employee help article, “How to Access the HR Center from the Employee Portal,” for more information.

How to Remove HR Center Access from Employees

  1. Go to Settings > Human Resources  > Employee Access to Mineral.
  2. Click the box beside each employee who you want to remove access to the HR Center.
  3. Click the “Update HR Center Access” link at the top of the employee grid.
  4. Select “No” in the modal that displays.
  5. Save by clicking the “Update Employees” button.
  6. Your employee(s) will no longer have access to the HR Center. 

FAQ’s

Why don’t I see all of my employees on the employee list?


1. Make sure all your employees are invited to register for the employee portal. See our help article, “How to Invite an Employee to Register for the Employee Portal” for more information.

2. If the employee you’re looking for is inactive, toggle “Show Inactives” to see all employees regardless of employee status (Active, Terminated, Inactive, Leave of Absence).

Will this give employees access to my software?

No. The employees will access the HR Center through a SSO (single sign on) in their employee portal. They will be logged in directly to the HR Center.

What information will employees have access to?

You’re employees will only see tasks (i.e. LMS courses) that have been assigned to them. If they are not a user in the software with payroll permissions, they cannot access anything else.

How do I upgrade to the digitally signed employee handbook?

Once you’re in the HR Center you can click the help icon at the bottom of the screen to request information. The premium handbook upgrade is offered by Mineral.

What LMS courses can I assign?

You can upload your own courses in SCORM format. Once you have given your employees access to the HR Center, you can assign your employees to complete the training,
