Managing employee status changes and payroll timing doesn’t have to be a juggling act. With our latest updates, we’ve given you flexibility to make sure employee status changes are at the right time—making even the trickiest situations easier to handle.
What’s New:
- Effective Dates and New Fields
- Payroll Start Date: Pay new hires before their official hire date if needed.
- Final Pay Date: Process final payments after an employee’s termination date.
- New Statuses and Behaviors
- Leave of Absence: Assign this status to employees on approved leave; they’ll stay in the payroll employee list for paid leave.
- Terminated: Excludes employees from payroll after their effective date or Final Pay Date.
- New Hires appear as “Inactive” until their Hire Date or Payroll Start Date.
- Schedule Future Changes – Use a date in the future and the employee status will be “pending” until the effective dates.
- Smarter Software
- The software now automatically applies Effective Dates, Payroll Start Dates, Termination Dates, and Final Pay Dates, ensuring employees are added to or removed from payroll at the right time based on their status and dates you set.
Bottom line? Payroll timing for new hires and terminated employees just became one less thing to juggle—and that’s a win worth celebrating.
