Idaho Unemployment Insurance Setup in Patriot Software
Background
If you do business in the state of Idaho, you must register for Idaho unemployment insurance. You will receive a rate notice from the Idaho Department of Labor each year. Your rate is based on your industry and unemployment claim history. There are three components that make up your total unemployment tax rate:
- Unemployment Contribution Rate
- Administrative Reserve Rate
- Workforce Development Rate
See our state guide Idaho New Employer Information for tax rates for new businesses.
For more information, see the Idaho Department of Labor website.
To set up Idaho Unemployment Tax Rates in Patriot Software
Payroll > Settings > Payroll Settings > State Unemployment Rates
There are three different tax rates you’ll need to enter.
Click Edit next to each section to enter these three tax rates, one at a time.
The Rate History section shows the history of previous SUTA rate changes, including the most recent one you entered. You will need to update these rates each year when you receive your tax notice from the Idaho Department of Labor.
