Company Tax Settings Information Checklist
Background
When using Patriot Software for your payroll, there is tax account information you’ll need to enter for your business, so that your payroll calculates correctly. You will need to enter this info before you can run your first payroll.
Before you enter your company tax settings
For new employers, see our payroll information for employers to get your business account numbers and state unemployment tax rate.
Here is a checklist of the information you will need to enter.
For both Basic Payroll and Full Service Payroll customers, you will need to have the following information:
9- Digit Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
State Income Tax (SIT) Identification Number
State Unemployment (SUTA) Identification Number
SUTA Tax Rate | |
Any Other State or Local Account Numbers |
For Full Service Payroll customers only, you will also need to have your tax deposit frequencies (meaning when the taxes are due to be paid) for each type of tax.
Federal Tax Deposit Frequency (which is “monthly” for most small businesses)
State Income Tax Deposit Frequency (monthly, quarterly, etc.)
Any Other State or Local Tax Deposit Frequency |
When you have gathered all of this information, you are now ready to enter your company tax settings in the software. See Company Payroll Tax Settings in Patriot Software.
