  2. Can I accept ACH payments on customer invoices?
Yes! Patriot Accounting also integrates with Stripe to accept ACH payments on customer invoices. Learn more by reading, “Setting Up ACH Payments.
  3. How do I connect my accounting with Stripe?
You can sign up via the link for Stripe in the Marketplace in your Patriot Software account.
  4. How do I know if my Stripe account is connected to my accounting software?
You can view your status with Stripe (connected, disconnected, approved, etc) in your accounting software by going to Settings > Accounting > Transaction Settings > Payment Processor.
  5. What is Stripe’s phone number for customer support?
You can reach Stripe’s support by calling 888-926-2289. You can also submit a request for a callback or initiate a chat or email from the Stripe Support page.
  6. Why have I not received payment from Stripe even though the invoice has been paid?
Causes for payment delays vary: They could be bank-related, a holiday or weekend, account verification issues, or other actions needed by you. Patriot is not able to determine the reason for the delay. You can look at your dashboard in your Stripe for any messages. *Remember: There is a mandatory waiting period of 7 days, up to 10 days to receive the first payout.
  7. Will my customer be able to make a partial payment through Stripe on an invoice?
No, you cannot make a partial payment on an invoice through a Stripe payment link. To do this, create two separate invoices with the partial amounts for your customer.
  8. Will Stripe send a receipt to my customer once the payment has been made?
No, Stripe does not send a receipt to your customer once the invoice has been paid. You can email the paid invoice to the customer to show a zero balance.
  9. Are the Stripe fees in a payment received reflected individually or as a lump sum?
The Dashboard in your Stripe account will show Stripe fees charged with each invoice. Stripe will calculate and collect the fee before depositing the net invoice payment to your bank account.
  10. Where can I find the fees charged by Stripe? You can view your fees in the Fee History Report, which shows your balance history. It is available for download in your Stripe Dashboard.
  11. How much are CC and ACH processing fees through Stripe?
    • Stripe Credit Card fees are $0.30, plus 2.9% of the invoice. There is no cap.
    • Stripe ACH fees are 0.8% of the invoice. There is also a $1.50 fee if your customer verifies their bank account with instant verification. ACH fees cap at $5.00.
  12. What happens if I VOID a Stripe payment in the General Ledger? Does that refund the payment back to my customer?
No, it does not refund that payment back to your customer. You must still complete the customer refund action in your Stripe Dashboard. Please read Stripe’s help article on how to complete the refund.
  13.  If I cancel my accounting software, can I still keep my Stripe account??
Yes. If you cancel your accounting software the Stripe account will be automatically disconnected, giving you full autonomy over your settings in Stripe. You can seamlessly disconnect your Stripe account from a Patriot account by going to Settings > Transaction Settings > Payment Processor. Click the “Disconnect Stripe” link.
  14. What if I sent out an invoice, then canceled my Patriot account but did not disconnect from Stripe first?
Your Stripe account will be automatically disconnected when you cancel the accounting software. Your customers will get an error screen if they click the invoice payment link directing them to contact your business.
