The state of Colorado is increasing the minimum wage rate to $8.00 per hour. This increase goes into effect on January 1, 2014.
There are now 21 states with minimum wage rates above the national minimum of $7.25 per hour. Colorado uses a cost of living formula to compute its annual minimum wage.
