Arizona Raises Minimum Wage for 2014

arizona minimum wage 2014As you look ahead to 2014, you may be anticipating potential expenses for your business … including payroll. In fact, payroll is often one of the greatest expenses employers face each month.

If your business is in Arizona, please note that the Arizona minimum wage has increased to $7.90 per hour, effective January 1, 2014. This makes Arizona one of 21 states with minimum wage rates higher than the federal minimum wage rate of $7.25.

Experts anticipate more and more states will follow that trend even as the legislature is considering an increase to the federal minimum wage rate.
