Caution: Do not file downloaded IRS forms with the SSA!

On the IRS website, you can download Copy A of Forms W2, W3, W2c, and W3c. These are only to be used for informational purposes. Do not file these downloaded copies with the SSA! Since these forms cannot be scanned by the SSA, you may receive a $50 penalty for each copy that you download and file.
You can obtain the approved forms (forms that the SSA can scan) free by the following methods:
1. Go to IRS Online Ordering
2. Call the IRS at 1-800-TAX-FORM (1-800-829-3676)
3. You can pick up most of the forms at your local IRS office
